The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Celebrate America’s Military Prayer Breakfast at Second Baptist Church, a staple of San Antonio's east side.

The Navy Talent Acquisition Group San Antonio from Joint base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston was represented by Cmdr. Stacey O’Neal, NTAG SA executive officer, along with chaplains and representatives for each branch of the U.S. military.

The prayer breakfast was for all faiths and denominations and according to the Chamber, it aims to inspire and motivate service members while highlighting the value of resilience, determination and comradery.

The program started with opening remarks delivered by Chamber President and CEO, Richard Perez and the invocation by Minister Rikkita Huges. Active duty faith community remarks were provided by Army Lt. Col. (Chap.) Bernard Cornell and Air Force Capt. (Chap.) William Erps, and the video “The Story of the Four Chaplains” was shown.

The keynote speaker was retired Air Force Col. (Chap.) Rev. Dr. Robert L. Jemerson, the lead pastor at Second Baptist and a native of Dallas, Texas, who delivered words of inspiration and resiliency.

The benediction and closing were delivered by Air Force Capt. (Chap.) Matthew Spenser.
