AETC Innovation Summit set for Oct. 12

By Nicholas De La Peña Air Education and Training Command Public Affairs

Air Education and Training Command’s A9 Innovation and Analysis Directorate will virtually host the 8th annual Innovation Summit (iSummit), Oct. 12, 2022 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. CDT.

The iSummit provides AETC Airmen, at all levels, a platform to share experiences on innovation activities and replicate success stories while identifying potential internal and external business partners to discuss and counter obstacles to innovation. The theme for this year’s summit is "Innovation through Methodologies, Technologies, and Collaboration".

“Innovative training and education are key to the Air Force preparing Airmen for the high-end fight,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Thomas Wegner, AETC A9 Analysis and Innovation director. “The October ‘22 iSummit will provide AETC innovators with the information and tools necessary to transform their creative ideas into solutions and execute at the speed of relevance.”

During the iSummit, representatives from Second Air Force will discuss modern instructional methodologies and the 59th Medical Wing will review the Airman Accelerator program. Additionally, Air University personnel will address expanding the development footprint through technology and collaboration.

Airmen interested in attending the event can contact members of the Innovation Advancement Division team at aetc.a9a.workflow.2@us.af.mil.
