JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
Recently, Headquarters Air Force Judge Advocate General has become aware of a phishing attempt targeting Air Force members using a falsified email notification from the JAG Corps. The subject line of the e-mail is "***HOT*** Jury Summons Notification."
The body of the e-mail reads: "ATTENTION, A list of potential jury members has been developed for an upcoming court-martial. Please check the list at the link below to determine if you have been selected as a member of the jury during this session. All members identified in the list must respond to the POC listed next to their name by 21 December 2018 to acknowledge his/her selection. Individuals who fail to submit acknowledgement will be reported to leadership. You may be required to Enable Content in the document to properly display the data. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY DIRECTLY TO THIS EMAIL."
The e-mail is sent from summons@usafjagnotifications.com and contains a hyperlink to a jury selection roster.
DO NOT OPEN OR RESPOND to the e-mail or follow the web link, and follow your unit's cyber security procedures if you receive this phishing attempt.
