264th Medical Battalion takes part in East Terrell Hills Elementary School Career Day

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas —

Soldiers from the 264th Medical Battalion at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston participated in Career Day at East Terrell Hills Elementary School Dec. 2 as part of the battalion’s Adopt-A-School program.

 

Students saw demonstrations on microbiology, physical therapy, pharmacy, medical imaging and combat medical first aid.

 

Along with the 264th Medical Battalion, the students had the opportunity to learn up-close and personal about of a wide variety of jobs, including meeting officers from the San Antonio Police Department, performers from the Magik Theatre and a reporter from Univision Channel 41.

 

The battalion regularly takes part in events at the school, conducting monthly visits with the school principal, coordinating volunteer events, assisting with career days, sponsoring field trips and many other activities.
