Bingo Extravaganza
May 6 & 20, 6 p.m., Kendrick Club. Play Extravaganza at the Kendrick Club. Doors open at 3 p.m. Early bird games start at 6 p.m. and Big Buck Extravaganza commences at 6:30 pm.  Get there early to find your seat. Newly Assigned Commanders & First Sergeants Briefing
May 7 from 8-11:45 a.m., Military & Family Readiness Center, building 693. Newly assigned commanders, command chiefs, and first sergeants, this mandatory briefing satisfies AFI requirements while introducing key personnel from installation support agencies such as Family Advocacy, Military & Family Readiness, and Sexual Assault Prevention Response. Survivor Benefit Plan Group Briefing
May 9 from 9-10:30 a.m., Virtual. The Survivor Benefit Plan briefing with the SBP Counselor is required by law and helps the service members and their spouses become familiar with the options, effects, and advantages of SBP. Prospective retirees are required to attend a Survivor Benefit Plan briefing and meet with an SBP counselor to complete the DD Form 2656 and data for Payment of Retired Personnel.

Newcomer’s Orientation
May 13 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Military & Family Readiness Center, building 693. A mandatory in-processing brief for all military personnel newly assigned to JBSA. Family members are welcome. Life Rhythm Series: Retuning Our Social Skills

Home Buying
May 16 from 9-11 a.m., Military & Family Readiness Center, building 693. Learn strategies for home-buying and tips to resolve mortgage issues. Discuss differences between renting and buying, different loan types and the VA Home Loan Guarantee Program, the home-buying and closing process, and choosing a Realtor. Ready, Set, Resume
May 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Virtual. Knowing what to put on your resume can be confusing. This workshop introduces the different types of resume formats, including the federal style.

Swim Lesson Registration
May 21, 11 a.m., In-person. Swim lessons are open to children and adults. Parent/child classes are also offered. Each session is two weeks long, has eight 40-minute lessons, and costs $65 per child/adult or $35 for active-duty military (E1-E4). At JBSA-Randolph, the lessons are at the South Pool, building 895. Sessions run Monday through Thursday.

JBSA Military Golf Classic
The JBSA Military Golf Classic takes place May 25-26 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start each day. This is a two-person team flighted competition and DOD ID cardholders and civilians are eligible to enter. The lowest verifiable handicap of each team will be used for flighting purposes. There will be two rounds with a scramble format for day one and best ball format for day two. Payouts will be in the form of a credit book. All players must submit a USGA Handicap verified by a course official. The entry fee is $180 which includes greens fee, cart rental, range balls and payouts at both locations. JBSA Pre-Arrival Orientation
May 28 from 8-9 a.m. & 5-6 p.m., Virtual. Early preparation is key to a smooth PCS. Inbound service members, families, and DOD civilians are introduced to JBSA by learning about local housing, childcare, healthcare, education and school options, employment opportunities, and more before their arrival.

RV Parking In Base Housing Areas
All recreational-type vehicles on JBSA are to be stored in the base RV storage lots or in residential garages. Long-term RV parking on streets, in alleys, or off-road areas is not permitted. Trailers, boats, or recreational vehicles may park in military housing driveways for 24 hours for loading and unloading. Vehicles used for this purpose may be taken out of the storage lot and parked in the housing area one day before departure and one day after return. Citations will be issued to parked RVs in violation of this policy, which can result in a penalty of either points accrued and/or fines ranging from $65-$530. Post-Deployment Reunion & Reintegration

100% Credential Checks at All
JBSA Locations from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Security Forces will now enforce 100% credential checks of all vehicle occupants between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. at all JBSA installation entry control points. All vehicle occupants will be required to submit proof of identification. Those without valid access authorization will be required to obtain a pass for entry.
