(502 CONS) AT JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO

The 502d Contracting Squadron puts operational contracts in place for the 502d Air Base Wing and 267 mission partner organizations primarily located at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, JBSA-Lackland, JBSA-Randolph, and JBSA-Camp Bullis.

Operational contracts are requirements JBSA organizations need to perform their jobs here in JBSA, whereas mission contracts are for requirements that are for an organization's overall mission and often span across the U.S. and overseas. Mission requirements are procured through a different contracting office.

The 502d CONS strives to be the premier operational contracting squadron in the Air Force and to provide first-class acquisition support to JBSA.

GOVERNMENT PURCHASE CARD PROGRAM

A significant portion of supplies and services procured for JBSA are purchased using the GPC from hundreds of government credit card holders. GPC may be used, unless a restriction applies, up to the following thresholds:
Supplies: Not to exceed $15,000
Services: Not to exceed $2,500 
Construction: Not to exceed $2,000 
Purchases under Federal Supply Schedule or other multiple-award contracts: Not to exceed $25,000
