JBSA-Lackland Fisher House III

The JBSA-Lackland Fisher House Open House and Volunteer Fair held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 15, 2025. Come help us celebrate 33 years of operation at JBSA-Lackland. The JBSA-Lackland Fisher House is looking for regularly scheduled volunteers being able to commit to 16 hours per month. Staff will be on standby to brief volunteer and recognition programs, give tours, and hand-out intake forms.

The JBSA-Lackland Fisher House provides home like accommodations to family members while active duty, retirees and veterans are undergoing care at a military medical treatment facility. The criterion for occupancy is that the guest be either a member of the family or designated care giver of the patient hospitalized at these facilities or a patient in an outpatient status.

Opened in 1991, 1992 & 2000, JBSA-Lackland Fisher Houses were donated to the Air Force by the Fisher House Foundation, named after the late Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher. The Houses are designed to assist in keeping families together while undergoing medical treatment.
