Arlington, Va. - Soldiers assigned to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, known as "The Old Guard," have been placing flags in front of headstones at Arlington National Cemetery, Va., since 1948, when the regiment was first designated as the Army's official ceremonial unit.
