Garrett Mazachek, 559th Flying Training Squadron instructor pilot student, performs pre-flight checks at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas Sep. 10, 2024. The 559th FTS flies more than 16,000 hours annually in a fleet of 38 T-6A Texan II aircraft, focusing on basic pilot qualifications and the specialized training of instructor pilots.
