USAMTEAC tests new capability of ultrasound field portable for operational use

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-CAMP BULLIS, Texas - Staff Sgt. SSG Nathan Werlinger, a 68W Combat Medic, and Lt. Col. LTC Cameron Wolterstorff, a 62A Emergency Physician, view the screen of a tablet used to test an ultrasound field portable system on a simulated patient at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas, on March 27, 2024. The U.S. Army Medical Evaluation Test Activity conducted an operational test of three different ultrasound field portable devices for the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA)/Warfighter Expeditionary Medicine and Treatment (WEMT) Project Management Office to evaluate how the devices performed in a simulated operational environment.
