USS GERALD R. FORD - An F/A-18E Super Hornet, attached to the "Golden Warriors" of Strike Fighter Squadron 87, flies over the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford during routine flight operations in the Mediterranean Sea. This flight was made possible by the fleet Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, Maryland. They are responsible for putting all airframes through extensive testing before they are allowed to join the fleet. NAWCAD uses equipment acquired for free from DLA Disposition Services.
