First in CONUS AFFF to F3 Firefighting Foam Transition

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Florida - Air Force firefighting crews around the world are in the process of transitioning their Fire and Emergency Services vehicles and other resources from aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) to a new Fluorine-Free Foam (F3). Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida was the first Air Force installation in the continental United States to complete the transition from AFFF to F3 in firefighting equipment there January 8-10, 2024.
