JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas - Master Sgt. Davon Anderson, 340th Flying Training Group first sergeant, provides the annual family care briefing to personnel during the fall mandatory unit training assembly (MUTA) at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, Oct. 26, 2023. Anderson is the group's newest first sergeant who is the eyes and ears of an organization and serves as the commander's critical link for all matters concerning enlisted members. First Sergeants are responsible for providing sound advice to the commander on a wide range of topics including the health, esprit de corps, discipline, mentoring, wellbeing, career progression, recognition and professional development of all assigned enlisted members.
