JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - U.S. Army North will host a celebration for the U.S. Army’s 248th birthday, June 14, 2023, at 9 a.m. at the historic Quadrangle on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. The ceremony, hosted by Lt. Gen. John R. Evans Jr., U.S. Army North commanding general, will include Soldiers dressed in uniforms from different periods and a cake cutting with the youngest and oldest Soldiers in the command. This year, U.S. Army North will celebrate the 248th birthday of America’s Army and honor the commitment of the Soldiers, civilians, and families who embody the army’s values.
