Items taken to space return to NAMRU San Antonio

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - U.S. Navy Capt. Ewell Hollis (right), Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio executive officer, speaks with U.S. Army Col. Andrew Morgan, NASA astronaut, after the return of items Morgan had carried to the International Space Station (ISS) during a presentation ceremony held at the Brooke Army Medical Center’s Putnam Auditorium. Morgan, the first Army physician in space, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, to the ISS aboard a Soyuz (Union) MS-13 spacecraft on July 20, 2019. During his time aboard the space station, Morgan participated in numerous medical and technological experiments and tasks, as well as several planned high-profile space walks.
