JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas - Staff Sgt. Josh Turner, 149th Maintenance Squadron aircraft metals technician, Air National Guard, performs precision grinding to remove corrosion deposits on a piece of aluminum during night operations in February. These technicians play a crucial role in how aircraft function when they weld, fabricate and custom-make its metal components.
