JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Preservation work is performed on building 2006 at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston May 19. Originally constructed in 1912 as an isolation ward for the station hospital complex, the current construction is reconfiguring the interior into administrative office space and bringing it up to current building code standards while making repairs to the historic exterior. This building is one of many projects going on throughout JBSA this May during National Historic Preservation Month.
