Former BAMC COVID-19 patient returns as convalescent plasma donor
JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Thefety Tibbs prepares for his first convalescent plasma donation at the Akeroyd Blood Donor Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. Since May 2020, staff members at the Akeroyd center have been working to achieve 100 percent contact of eligible beneficiaries within the JBSA community to donate convalescent plasma because it is being explored as a potential COVID-19 treatment.
