JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Burn survivor and San Antonio Fire Department firefighter Brad Phipps (center) helped man a booth with members of the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston on burn injury awareness and prevention in the Brooke Army Medical Center mall during National Burn Awareness Week in early February. Alongside Phipps (from left) are Brent Sabatino, USAISR Burn Center intensive care unit nurse, San Antonio Fire Department mascot Sparky the Fire Dog, USAISR Burn Center nurse Latosha Penette, San Antonio Fire Department firefighter Dana Zamarripa, USAISR Burn Center nurse Reuben Salinas and USAISR Burn Center nurse Katie Fleming.
