JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Army Capt. (Dr.) Lexy Adams, general surgery resident, talks with a post-operation bariatric patient at Brooke Army Medical Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston Jan. 31. There are three kinds of laparoscopic bariatric surgeries performed at BAMC: adjustable gastric band, gastric bypass and vertical sleeve gastrectomy.
