JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO–LACKLAND, Texas - Brian Spalinger, an employee at the 502nd Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle management flight, was one of several employees recognized by the 502nd Installation Support Group commander at a ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Sept. 10, 2018 for his efforts in saving the Air Force an estimated $28,000 since May by simply refurbishing vehicle headlights instead of replacing them with new ones. Spalinger has been able to cut the cost of replacing pricey headlamp assemblies from a vehicle, an average replacement cost of $418, through refurbishing.
