JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Marines from the United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon perform drill movements May 5 during the Military Appreciation Weekend at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. The Marines are a 24-man rifle platoon of the U.S. Marine Corps. The unit performs unique silent precision exhibition drill. The purpose of the platoon is to exemplify the discipline and professionalism of the Marine Corps.
