Taking to the creek in canoes and kayaks, as well as cleaning the shorelines on foot, hundreds of volunteers turned out on an overcast morning Feb. 17 at the annual Basura Bash to perform an important community service. Now in it's eighth year, the event helps clear tons of garbage from the portion of Salado Creek that runs through the installation.
