Firefighters burned more than 600 acres of vegetation at the installation during a three-day period, from Feb. 22-24, in an effort to prevent wildfires from occurring. The controlled burn was a joint effort between the 502nd Civil Engineering Squadron at JBSA, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, JBSA Fire Emergency Services and area firefighters.
