Lieutenant Colonel Mincer is a Command Pilot with 18 years of service and over 3600 flying hours in the T-3A, T-37B, T-38A, B-1B, and UV-18B aircraft.  He received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in 1997.  His first assignment was as a character instructor at the Center for Character Development at the USAFA.  He then completed Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT) at Columbus AFB, MS.  Following B-1 qualification training at Dyess AFB, he was assigned to the 34th Bomb Squadron (BS) in the composite wing at Mountain Home Air Force Base (AFB), Idaho where he upgraded to B-1B aircraft commander.  Following 9-11 he was in the first wave to fly strike missions in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.  Next, he was assigned to the 98th Flying Training Squadron (FTS) at USAFA where he served as Jump Flight Commander, Instructor Jumpmaster, and UV-18B Instructor Pilot.  Following B-1 Requalification, he was assigned to the 9th BS at Dyess AFB, TX where he upgraded to Instructor Pilot and served as Director of Life Support and Director of Safety.  While with the 9th BS, he deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.  Next he moved to the 28th Bomb Squadron and served as Director of Training, Director of Student Affairs, and Assistant Director of Operations while instructing at the B-1B Formal Training Unit.  He then served as Chief Pilot for the 7th Bomb Wing and eventually Wing Chief of Standardization and Evaluation.  Next, Lt Col Mincer served as Director of Operations for the 98th FTS.  He then served as Deputy Director of the Operations Directorate (A3), Headquarters United States Air Forces Central Command, Forward, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.  Currently he serves as Commander of the 98th FTS, home of the Air Force Parachute Team, the Wings of Blue.
