A C-17 Globemaster III tail section begins its journey from Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph to Wright Patterson Air Force Base May 10, 2015 (today). The tail section is the first part of a C-17 Globemaster III that has been converted into an aeromedical evacuation trainer by the 502nd Trainer Development Squadron to leave JBSA-Randolph for Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The remainder of the fuselage will depart JBSA-Randolph May 31st, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
