Airman Geanny Hernandez Quiala's journey to America began August of 2005 in Manzanillo, a port city in Eastern Cuba. The strong winds of Hurricane Katrina pushed his boat to the Eastern coast of Honduras where Airman Hernandez Quiala spent three days in the thick jungle. He would eventually make his way through Mexico and into the United States where he joined the Air Force. (USAF graphic by Paul Novak)
