High ceilings, natural lighting and wooden floors are some key features of the new dining facility that opened Jan. 3 on the Lackland Training Annex at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The dining facility mainly serves technical students and instructors from the 342nd, 343rd and 344th Training Squadrons, and members of the 90th Intelligence Squadron. The facility can hold up to 1,500 diners, has four serving lines and three dining areas. Construction of the dining facility, which replaced the 35-year-old Medina Inn, is among $60.3 million in major building projects scheduled for opening early this year. (USAF photo by Alan Boedeker)
