First Lt. Karl Kappler, 689th Combat Communications Wing loads a clip for an AK47 during the field striping portion of the AK-47 familiarization class held by the 689th CCW Aug. 20.
This opportunity was hosted off base in conjunction with the Warner Robins Police Department, a partner of Robins Air Force Base. Members were taught basic functionality, history and weapon specifications, they were also provided with a hands-on field striping and range opportunity. "Today combat communications Airmen were able to place something else into their combat-readiness tool box, we are looking forward to the next familiarization class," said Capt. Josh Aultman, the class instructor. (US Air Force photo by Capt. Josh Aultman)
