The remains of Sgt. Louis R. Torres were transported through Joint Base San Antonio Randolph Aug. 29. JBSA-Randolph?s Harmon Drive was lined with Randolph employees and family members paying final tribute to Torres as his remains were transported back to Ohio.  Torres was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  He deployed to Afghanistan with his brigade in December 2011 for his second deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  He died Aug. 22 from wounds suffered after he encountered an enemy IED Aug. 6 in Kandahar.  (U.S. Air Force Photo by Don Lindsey)
