Command Sergeant Major Albert Crews

CSM Albert Crews entered active service on 13 September 1988.  He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. 


CSM Crews’ assignments include:  Command Sergeant Major, 47th Combat Support Hospital, JBLM, WA;  Command Sergeant Major, 421st MMB, Baumholder, Germany;  Senior Administrative NCO, Evans Army Hospital, Fort Carson, CO;  Student, USASMA (Class 59), Fort Bliss, TX;  First Sergeant, A Company, 10th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Carson, CO;  NCOIC, Department of Radiology, Fort Riley, KS;  Small Group Leader, ANCOC, Fort Sam Houston, TX;  Operations Sergeant, Radiology Branch, AMEDD Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, TX;  Instructor/Writer,  Radiology Branch, AMEDD Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, TX; Sonographer, Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI;  Shift Leader, Department of Radiology; Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI;  X-ray NCO, 8th Evacuation Hospital, Fort Ord, CA;  X-ray Specialist, 128th Combat Support Hospital, Nellingen, Germany.  His deployments include Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.


His military education and honors includes the Radiology Specialist Course, Faculty Development Course, Small Group Leader Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (59). CSM Crews holds a Master of Science Degree in Education.


His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), the National Defense Ribbon, the Southwest Asia Service (3), Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the GWOT Service Medal, the Expert Field Medical Badge, and the Drivers Badge. CSM Crews has also been inducted into the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit.
