JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas - U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Anika Dexter, 326th Training Squadron, poses for a photo in support of Native American Indian Heritage Month (NAIHM), Oct. 26, 2022, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. November is NAIHM. The Department of Defense (DOD) joins the Nation in recognizing the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of American Indians and Alaskan Natives. According to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, there are 574 federally recognized tribes. This month we celebrate American Indian and Alaska Natives who have served with great honor, dedication and distinction.
