Air Force officer honors family legacy through medical service, leadership
October 4, 2024 — As an Air Force allergist and immunologist, U.S. Air Force Maj. Lauren Gabreski carries the values instilled by her grandfather. After completing the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center on June 30, 2024, she transitioned to the 48th Healthcare Operations Squadron at Royal Air Force Lakenheath in the United Kingdom. 59th Medical Wing: Our team, our fight against the flu
January 5, 2023 — The Allergy and Immunizations Clinic, along with 43 medical volunteers, came together during the 59th Medical Wing’s annual flu campaign in the atrium of Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland from October to November 2022. Their teamwork resulted in more than 93% of the wing being vaccinated. ... MORE

The importance of the annual flu campaign is to support the mission, reduce the overall impact of contagious respiratory illnesses and protect patients from preventable diseases allowing a ready and fit force.
