FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Washington –
The Nineteenth Air Force command team, led by U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Travolis Simmons, Nineteenth Air Force commander, received an immersive experience Aug. 24 at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, at that focused on the survival, evasion, resistance, and escape specialists and their critical role in operational readiness and preparing Airmen with the vital skills needed to survive and operate in any hostile environment.
The Nineteenth Air Force leadership observed firsthand the day-to-day operations that go into the SERE mission.
Due to the unique missions aircrew may be tasked with over land and sea, it is critical they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and capabilities to survive and return with honor.
