Program provides second lieutenants with real-world experience

Students awaiting flight training participate in the Casual Lieutenant Program, a program which provides new officers with operational experience and the opportunity to learn more about how various mission partners work together across Joint base San Antonio.

The 12th Training Squadron lieutenants work with agencies across the installation, such as the safety office, security forces and flightline operations, under close supervision while preparing for future leadership roles.

The CLP requires officers awaiting flight training to assist organizations such as the safety office, security forces and flightline operations to gain insight into how various agencies work together within JBSA.
