The 340th Flying Training Group hosted its spring mandatory unit training assembly, or MUTA, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, May 15-16, 2025.
Col. Anthony Straw, 340th FTG commander, initiated the commander’s call by reiterating the group’s strategic priorities and providing an organizational update.
Afterwards, command staff, briefed personnel on the Brandon Act, the Veterans Affairs benefits process, force protection, professional relationships, Ready Airman Training, and education on inspector general services from the new Inspector General of Complaint Resolution/Fraud, Waste and Abuse, Lt. Col. Nicolas Neely.
Part of the two-day MUTA also provided the opportunity for the organization to conduct its full-service dress open ranks inspection as part of an Air Force standards and readiness review.
