World War II pilot receives long-overdue medals, recognition

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Retired U.S. Army Air Corps 1st Lt. Gerald Teldon was recognized for his honorable service as a pilot July 29, 2022, at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life and Learning in San Antonio. Teldon, born in the Bronx, New York, in 1924, joined the military in 1944. Lt. Col. Andrew Stein, 502nd Operations Support Squadron commander, was the presiding officer.
