Benjamin F. Danielson Dec. 2. The 558th Flying Training Squadron dedicated
their auditorium to Captain Danielson, a former member of the 558th, who was
killed after his plane was shot down Dec. 5, 1969 in Laos during the Vietnam
War.  The subsequent rescue mission to save Captain Danielson and his
weapons systems officer, 1st Lt. Woody Bergeron, stands as the largest
combat search and rescue operation in the history of the U.S. Air Force.
