37th SFS Airmen return home

Twenty-seven members from the 37th Security Forces Squadron at Lackland AFB returned home March 5, arriving at San Antonio International Airport.

The troops returned after being deployed for nearly nine months to Camp Bucca, Iraq, where they conducted detainee operations for captured terrorist insurgents in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

The squadron received no war-related injuries or deaths during the deployment, according to Senior Master Sgt. Kenneth Simonton, 37th SFS first sergeant.

The 37th SFS members arrived at San Antonio International's Terminal 2 shortly after 9 a.m. on American Airlines.
