Randolph High School releases track results

The Randolph High School girls and boys track teams competed at the District 29-2A meet April 8-9 in Poth, Texas. The girls finished second with 145 points behind district girls champion Poth High School, while the boys placed third in their division with 93 points. The top three finishers in each event advanced to the Region IV-2A meet April 24-25 at Texas State University's Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos. 

Here are the results of Randolph athletes who placed in the top three in their event:

Girls
· Long jump: 1, Jasmine Kent, 18 feet, 2 inches; 2, Jayla McArthur, 17 feet, 9 inches
· 400-meter relay: 1, Randolph (Jayla McArthur, Caitlin Carter, Kenya Alexander, Sydney Solomon) 51.00
· 100-meter run: 1, Caitlin Carter, 12.91; 2, Kenya Alexander, 12.93
· 800-meter relay: 1, Randolph (Jasmine Kent, Caitlin Carter, Tamoya Morrison, Sydney Solomon) 1:47.40
· 400-meter run: 1, Jayla McArthur, 1:00.77
· 200-meter run: 1, Tamoya Morrison, 26.17; 2, Kenya Alexander, 27.30
· 1,600-meter relay: 1, Randolph (Jasmine Kent, Tamoya Morrison, Sydney Solomon, Jayla McArthur) 4:13.53

Boys
