LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas –
As part of the winter holiday season, the Lackland Library is offering two family events guaranteed to put the jingle in your bells.
First is the Christmas Caper Family Mystery Night, Dec. 6, 6:15-7:30 p.m.
"Participating families help solve the mystery of Santa's disappearance," said Lenore Shapiro, Lackland Library System director. "They'll be searching for clues with the help of other holiday characters to find Santa so he can make his Christmas Eve deliveries."
Light refreshments will be served during the event.
The second program brings Santa and Mrs. Claus to the library for their annual visit, Dec. 16 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
"Children can meet Santa, make a holiday ornament and listen while Mrs. Claus reads traditional favorite, 'Twas the Night before Christmas,'" Ms. Shapiro said.
Cookies and punch will be served.
"These are two jolly good opportunities to get the family together, don your gay apparel, toll the yuletide carols and have a fa-la-la-la-la-la-la good time."
Both activities are after-library-hours programs so the entrance to the library is through the parking lot door.
