WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH | Breaking Barriers: Inspiring journey of female general officers event at BAMC March 22

Brooke Army Medical Center’s Committee for Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Equal Opportunity Program is hosting a Women’s History Month event titled “Breaking Barriers -- Inspiring Journey of Female General Officers” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 22 at BAMC’s Carolyn Putnam Auditorium, located on the 4th floor on the side of the flagpole entrance, 3551 Roger Brooke Road.

Guest speakers are Air Force Brig. Gen. Jeannine M. Ryder, 59th Medical Wing and San Antonio Market Director; retired Army Lt. Gen. Gwen Bingham, chair, Blue Star Families Board of Directors; and retired Army Maj. Gen. Jimmie Keenan, senior vice president, Enterprise Clinic Operations.

The event is also sponsored by the San Antonio (Alamo) Chapter of The ROCKS, Inc., a veteran service and civil service organization serving the San Antonio community.

BAMC’s Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion provides education and resource support for Team BAMC and its beneficiaries aimed at combating harmful behaviors which erode individual and unit resilience and readiness.  The BAMC Committee for DEI is dedicated to increasing awareness of identifying healthcare disparities in order to achieve more equitable health outcomes for its beneficiaries.
