Col. Taylor Ferrell takes command of the 12th Flying Training Wing

With all eyes watching and surrounded by co-workers, family and friends Maj. Gen. Craig Wills, 19th Air Force commander, passed the guidon to the new 12th Flying Training Wing commander, Col. Taylor Ferrell.  

A 2000 graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, Ferrell received his bachelor of science degree in economics and was commissioned through the University of Kentucky's ROTC program.

Ferrell previously served as the commander of the 18th Operations Group at Kadena Air Base, Japan.

He is a graduate of the USAF Weapons School and served as the Chief F-15C Weapons School Instructor. Ferrell is a command pilot with more than 2,000 flying hours, primarily in the F-15C.
