JBSA M&FRCs offer virtual financial services in midst of pandemic

By David DeKunder 502nd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Joint Base San Antonio Military & Family Readiness Centers are conducting virtual financial classes for installation members who have questions about or need help with their finances during these uncertain times.

The M&FRCs offer virtual financial classes on several topics, including budgeting, credit and debt management, savings and other areas of money management that are taught by a certified financial counselor.

Sarah Henson, JBSA-Randolph M&FRC community readiness consultant, said the virtual classes are one of several financial resources and programs offered by M&FRCs to JBSA members.

“There are so many great financial resources available to our JBSA members,” Henson said. “First and foremost, there are accredited and certified financial counselors at each M&FRC. We are always available to help. We love what we do and want our members to know they are never alone when it comes to improving their finances.”

The M&FRCs are conducting a variety of upcoming virtual financial classes. Classes being offered by JBSA-Fort Sam Houston M&FRC in June include How to Budget, Financial Overview, Credit/Debit Management, and Social Security and You.
