UPDATE: Heating repairs to occur at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston CDC Nov. 14

This is an alert notification for parents with children in the JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Main Child Development Center, building 2530. Due to heating issues in building 2530, the following will occur on Wed., Nov. 14:

 

 

- Pre-school children, ages 3-5 will receive care at building 1705, School Age Program in Watkin Terrance Housing area beginning at 5:30 a.m.

- Toddlers, ages 2-3, will receive care in building 2530 in working heated classrooms beginning at 5:30 a.m.

- Pre-Toddlers & Infants, under 2 yrs of age, will have a delay opening in building 2530 as heat is fixed. 

 

Please call after 7 a.m. at 210-221-3128 or 210-221-5002 to learn what time centers will open for these age groups.


UPDATE: 9:55 a.m.

JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Main CDC, Bldg 2530 heat issues continue.  Currently seven of 12 classrooms have reached proper temperatures of 68 degrees and will open immediately to single and dual military families first. If you don't fall into this priority, we ask that you please make alternate arrangements at this time.  There is a good chance the entire center will be reopened today, however there is no exact time as of now.


JBSA-Fort Sam Houston CDC Annex, Bldg 1720, heat has been restored and building is heating towards proper temperatures.  Please contact the center at 221-3835 beginning at 10 a.m. to determine what time the center will open.
