Leaders meet, greet 2018 Joint Base San Antonio Military Ambassadors

Brig. Gen. Heather Pringle, commander of the 502nd Air Base Wing and Joint Base San Antonio, and Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan, commanding general of U.S. Army North (Fifth Army) hosted a meet-and-greet session for the 2018 JBSA Military Ambassadors at the wing conference room at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Jan. 10.

They welcomed the 10 Fiesta Military Ambassadors from across JBSA whom will represent their respective military services – Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard – as part of the 2018 Military Ambassadors Program.

Members of the Military-Civilian Club were also present to meet and greet the ambassadors and explain their roles is assisting them during all the upcoming events. Jeanie Travis, a direct descendant of Col. William Travis, talked about the history of the ambassadors’ connection to the history of Fiesta.
