JBSA leaders sign Month of the Military Child proclamation

Heather Pringle, commander, 502nd Air Base Wing and Joint Base San Antonio joined together April 12 with students, local educators and representatives from the Fort Sam Houston and Lackland Independent School Districts to recognize and honor the commitment, contributions and sacrifices children and youth make to the nation.

Fiesta royalty join Soldiers at 32nd Medical Brigade Enlisted Run

Rey Feo LXX Ken Flores, along with other members of Fiesta San Antonio, joined Soldiers for the 32nd Medical Brigade Enlisted Run at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston in the early morning hours April 13. Covering three miles, the dignitaries had the opportunity to run with Soldiers from the 232nd Medical Battalion and 264th Medical Battalion during their morning physical training session.

The council needs of more officers and NCOs who have retired and can devote a small amount of time each month to help other retirees, which in turn, helps active duty members. 
The council is also open to surviving spouses and any officer or NCO who has retired from the National Guard or Reserves.

Members of the 502nd Air Base Wing receive a briefing from a construction foreman during the second annual REHABARAMA in the Highland Park neighborhood April 7. REHABARAMA is a one-day event that brings together volunteers, local contractors, students and neighborhood leaders to assist homeowners with exterior maintenance at no cost to the homeowner. Members of Joint Base San Antonio were among the 200 volunteers that took part in the second annual REHABARAMA in the Highland Park neighborhood, sponsored by the City of San Antonio’s Office of Historic Preservation.
