LIEUTENANT COLONEL JEREMY R. LUSHNAT

Lt Col Jeremy R. Lushnat is the Commander of the 94th Flying Training Squadron, 306th Flying Training Group, 12th Flying Training Wing, United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado. The 94th Flying Training Squadron conducts flying training programs using 24 gliders of three different types to develop airmanship skills and provide leadership opportunities for approximately 1,300 USAFA cadets.  The squadron’s team of 200 officer, civilian and cadet instructor pilots execute nine syllabi in support of 17,000 sorties annually.  

Lt Col Lushnat received his commission upon graduation from the United States Air Force Academy in June 1999. After pilot training, he served in three F-15 squadrons as a Mission Commander, Instructor Pilot and Weapons Officer. Lt Col Lushnat has deployed in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and has planned and executed numerous security operations in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School and School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Prior to becoming the Commander of the 94th Flying Training Squadron, Lt Col Lushnat was the Chief of Strategic Plans for Operations FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and RESOLUTE SUPPORT, 9th Air and Space Expeditionary Task Force and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Air Command, Afghanistan.
